The Herald Sun’s Suzan Delibasic says homeless people in Melbourne have been forced into “vulnerable situations” after government-funded hotel accommodation ended.
“They’re sleeping rough, they’re being robbed, some are even being attacked and the really sad thing is that majority of these people sleeping rough are women,” Ms Delibasic told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
A woman in her 40s told Ms Delibasic all her belongings, “down to her lunchbox”, were stolen.
Ms Panahi said homeless women face “all sorts of additional dangers”.
