The Silverleaf Nightshade, a common wildflower found in many parts of Texas, growing in fence rows and back alleys. It is poisonous and considered a nuisance weed. But in earlier centuries the Silverleaf Nightshade was used for beneficial purposes by people of other cultures. The leaves take on a grayish color due to the numerous fine hairs on the surface, and the blossoms are small and minimal. Regardless, it’s still an interesting plant.
